Madeleine Clark - Just like a woman

Hosted by Kirsty and Simon Applebaum, the group attended a talk given by author of ‘JUST LIKE A WOMAN’, Madeleine Clark, who read aloud an excerpt of her novel. We discovered that Madeleine has other books in progress and that this one, her first in print, was the pioneer in her voyage into the world of self-publishing. She talked us through the process, from proofing to publication, complete with pitfalls and the joy of holding your first book in your hands.

‘JUST LIKE A WOMAN’ is a psychological thriller. It tells the story of Sarah, a young, naive woman who seeks help to overcome dark family secrets. And Stephanie, her professional therapist, who just might hold the key to Sarah's happiness. But will her own private life prevent this? Meanwhile, Robert, a musician dreaming of fame and success, struggles to control his desires. As their lives become entangled, obsession drives sexual desire to manipulation. How far will a betrayed woman go to exact revenge?
